Masa kadaluwarsa tabung gas LPG

Beberapa orang mungkin sudah mengetahui hal ini;
tetapi mungkin banyak juga yang belum tahu.

Tabung LPG yang sudah kadaluwarsa tidaklah aman untuk digunakan dan bisa menyebabkan kecelakaan seperti yang pernah terjadi di suatu kawasan di Jakarta bulan
yang lalu (Tabung Gas meledak)
Berhati-hatilah ketika menerima tabung LPG dari penjual manapun.

Cara memeriksa masa kadaluwarsa dari tabung LPG adalah:

tanggal kadaluwarsa ditulis dalam alfa code sesuai nomornya sebagai A atau B atau C atau D dan sekitar dua digit angka mengikutinya.

Contohnya: D06
Abjad mewakili empat bulanan (1 kwartal),
A untuk bulan maret,
B Juni,
C Sept
D Desember.
Dua digit angka berikutnya merupakan tahun kadaluwarsa.

Makanya
"D06 berarti Desember 2006".

Robot JUJUR

Budi adalah seorang profesor penemu ulung, dia berhasil menciptakan robot yang bisa mendeteksi kebohongan, dia membuat robot itu sedemikian rupa sehingga ketika mendengarkan kebohongan, sang robot akan langsung menampar si pembohong itu...

Budi dengan bangga membawa robot itu ke ruang keluarga dan menunggu anaknya pulang... tapi anaknya tak kunjung pulang... ditunggu-tunggu baru sore hari sang anak pulang...

"Kamu dari mana ? kok pulangnya telat" tanya si Budi

" Ada pelajaran tambahan pa" jawab sang anak

*PLAK* Sang robot menampar si anak...

"Nak, ini adalah robot ciptaan ayah, dia akan menampar siapapun yang berbohong..! sekarang katakan dengan jujur, kenapa pulangnya telat ??!"

Lautan Es Menyusut Tajam pada 2050

Analisis model yang dibandingkan dengan observasi selama 20 tahun itu mendukung prediksi komputer Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa bahwa pada 2050 lautan es musim panas di lepas pantai utara Alaska ada kemungkinan menyusut setengah dari luas yang ditutupinya pada 1980-an.

Hilangnya lautan es ini dikhawatirkan akan mengancam beruang kutub yang amat menggantungkan kehidupannya pada lautan es. Perubahan habitat bisa mendorong perubahan status binatang itu menjadi terancam punah. Ancaman serupa juga bakal dialami para nelayan.

Pada 1980-an, lautan es menyusut 30 sampai 50 mil dari pantai utara tiap musim panas , kata James Overland, oceanographer untuk National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) di Seattle, Amerika Serikat. "Kini susutnya mencapai 300 sampai 500 mil utara Alaska," katanya.

Para ilmuwan NOAA telah memantau 20 skenario komputer tentang efek pemanasan pada lautan es, yang digunakan Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change dalam laporan penilaiannya tahun ini. Mereka membandingkan model itu dengan observasi dari 1979 sampai 1999 dan mencapai kesimpulan: es musim panas di Laut Beaufort tampaknya akan berkurang sampai 40 persen bila dibandingkan dengan kondisi 1980-an.

Ramalan serupa juga berlaku bagi kawasan Siberian Timur-Laut Chukchi, sebelah barat laut Alaska dan Rusia. Sebaliknya, Teluk Baffin dan Labrador di Kanada hanya memperlihatkan sedikit perubahan.

Situasi ini amat mengkhawatirkan bagi beruang kutub, kata Kassie Siegel dari Center for Biological Diversity. Dia telah menulis petisi meminta perlindungan pemerintah federal bagi binatang itu. "Mereka akan mengalami penurunan, kelaparan, melakukan praktek kanibalisme, dan akhirnya punah," katanya.

Ketika es menyusut, beruang kutub terjebak di daratan selama musim panas, tanpa tersedianya sumber pangan, kata Siegel. Beberapa akan mencoba, tapi gagal mencapai lautan es. Sebaliknya, beruang yang tinggal di lautan es akan kesulitan mencari makan karena sedikitnya ikan di perairan itu. Beruang betina yang hendak melahirkan pada musim gugur juga harus berenang jauh ke daratan. "Itu sangat menakutkan dari sudut pandang beruang," katanya.
